The first two lines sorta remind me that, by and large, nothing really happens unless we make it happen. The last line points out that "the man" can't pay us what we are worth because they couldn't make any money and then we wouldn't have a job. Likewise, no product is really worth what we pay for it, because if it was, then whoever makes it and sells it wouldn't make any money so they wouldn't make it or sell it and we wouldn't have it anyway.
